The problem
Following up with a list of clients by text is slow by hand. Most bulk texting tools fix the speed and lose the person - every message reads like it went to everyone, and people reply less to a blast. And any tool that texts at scale has to respect opt-outs every single time, not most of the time.
What we built
MultiMessage is a text outreach platform we built and run ourselves. You keep your contacts in a client book, with names, companies, notes and conversation history. You write reusable messages with shortcodes that fill in each person's name and company.
Then you build a drip campaign - a set of follow-ups sent over days or weeks - and enroll the people it is for. The messages go out on schedule, and nobody has to remember to send the third one.
How it works
- Group messages go out as separate, personal texts - not one shared group thread
- Replies come back as two-way threads, so a follow-up can turn into a real conversation
- A STOP reply is honored across the whole account and pulls that person out of every active campaign
- Campaigns also stop for anyone who opts out or is marked as converted
- Consent is tracked for each contact, and purchased lists are not allowed
- It runs as a web app, on a phone or a desktop
Where it stands
MultiMessage is live at multimessage.me. It is the same kind of build we take on for clients: a custom platform, built around the job, rather than a plugin stretched past what it was made for.
